How is there a used copy of 33 A.D. for sale already? And why the heck is it twice the cost of a new copy from Amazon? WTF?
You have entered the Twilight Zone. 😀
I’ve heard of this happening before. People who get ARCs sometimes sell them off on Amazon or eBay after they’ve read them (or even when they don’t).
It’s not cool, but… not sure what could be done about it. =/
Heh. I should buy one, just to see if it’s one of my ARCs.
I read an article about this happening somewhere. I tried to find it, but my Google-fu is lacking today.
Heh. Google-Fu. I like it! 😉
Huh? That’s nuts. I hear about this all the time too. 😦
This has happened with my books as well. I often wonders who pays twice the Amazon cost. It seems shady to me. 😦
There is quite a collector’s market for ARCs and stuff like that. People also put stuff like that up if a book goes OP (I have seen mass market books go for 75$ on ebay and Amazon and they do sell every now and again).
And then you have some people who assume an ARC will be worth something ten years down the line. *shrugs* The collector’s market is odd.
